The Patience Project is a charity that helps critically ill children undergoing long term treatment. They connect them to their classroom using 360-degree cameras.
The Patience Project will be taking full advantage of the Spark 5G Lab test network to test their technology in a 5G environment. 5G has the potential to push computing to the cloud, allowing the hardware to become untethered and mobile. High speed and low latency will also enable two-way communication in real-time, enhancing the experience for both the patient and their classmates. As a charity, this will also allow the Patience Project to reduce the cost of current hardware, which would help them scale up to reach more sick children.
